NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – The AFP’s Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) under Lt. Gen. Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero and the PNP’s Directorate for Integrated Police Operations- Eastern Mindanao (DIPO-EM) under Police Director Alexander C. Ignacio represented by P/CSupt John C. Sosito signed the Joint Action Plan 2016 during the Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center at headquarters EastMinCom in Panacan, Davao City in the morning of February 26, 2015. The joint action plan will enable both parties to have a common understanding of the actions that will be implemented for the year.
The joint plan aims to maintain linkage and strengthen coordination in the furtherance of AFP/PNP mandate for peace and security in Eastern Mindanao.
Other significant points that were discussed during the meeting include the preparations for 2016 National Elections; “SAFE 2016” Risk and Threat Assessment; and Security of NGCP Towers and Cell Sites.
According to EastMinCom, the joint action plan will sustain the joint capability and interoperability of the AFP-PNP units under EastMinCom and DIPO-EM through joint operations.
