NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – The AFP’s Eastern Mindanao Command under Lt. Gen. Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero received the highest excellence rating of 97.26% in mission accomplishment from the Office of the Inspector General (OTIG), AFP on March 1, 2016 after the Annual General Inspection conducted by the OTIG from February 23 to March 1, 2016. The Excellence award was presented by The Inspector General, AFP Maj. Gen. Benito Antonio T. De Leon to Lt. Gen. Guerrero.
The said annual inspection aims to check the performance of unified commands on matters about readiness condition; finance and logistics management; leadership; and morale & discipline. Likewise, the officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees are evaluated based on their job description and accomplishment.
Last year, EastMinCom under Lt. Gen. Aurelio B. Baladad received the highest excellence rating for Leadership, Morale and Discipline among the 6 unified commands from the same inspection team.
The AFP’s unified commands are NOLCOM based in Tarlac City; SOLCOM in Lucena City; WESTMINCOM in Zamboanga City; WESCOM in Palawan; CENTCOM in Cebu City; and EASTMINCOM in Davao City.
