AFP, PNP raid Marijuana Plantation

MALITA, Davao Occidental – AFP and PNP on Monday, September 5, 2016, uprooted more than 18 hills of marijuana plant in a hinterland farm in Sitio Aglongan, Brgy Demoloc in Malita, Davao Occidental.
The 73IB and police intelligence agents arrested a certain Marvin Jantan Donato, 18 years old, who was caught cultivating the marijuana plants in his occupied lot. Recovered also from his possession is an improvised shotgun.

The intelligence agents learned of the presence of the marijuana farm from the barangay officials, who helped lead the raiding team to its exact location. The raid was carried out by personnel of 73IB, PNP Malita headed by PSUPT Cesario D Dukiling Jr, DOCPPO Intel section and local officials.

The uprooted plants worth P15,000.00 and firearm were now under the custody of PNP Malita and will be used as evidence in filing cases against Donato.

“The joint operation is in line with the current thrust of President Rodrigo Duterte to eradicate the widespread criminality brought by the use of illegal drugs. We will also continue to seek the support of the stakeholders as we aggressively pursue paths towards our president’s campaign”, Ltc Felix Ronnie Babac, Commander, 73IB, said.
