NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – On November 22 - 24, 2016, the Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) conducts a Staff and Simulation Exercises at the Headquarters EMC and selected areas in Davao City respectively.
The activity which was supervised jointly by EMC's Office of the Assistant Chief of the Unified Command Staff for Joint Training (U8), and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training (J8) of the AFP's General Headquarters was participated by the units and staffs of the newly activated anti-terrorism unit Joint Task Force Haribon.
It aimed to institutionalize the joint efforts in addressing and preventing terroristic threats of terrorist groups and other lawless elements in mega Davao. Further, the activity aimed to identify weak points and resolve possible operational issues that may arise in the Joint Task Force.
The exercise includes the conduct of battle staff planning and military decision making process; quick response, and counter terrorism operations on different scenarios and situations.
The activity was capped with the conduct of assessment which became an integral part of the Joint Training Review and Assessment graced by MGen Elvin B. Velasco the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training on November 24, 2016 at HEMC, Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City.
