JTF HARIBON Displays Maritime Assets


STA. ANA Wharf, Davao City- Joint Task Force HARIBON, the counter-terrorism unit in MEGA Davao showcases its maritime assets on November 19, 2016 at the Sta. Ana Wharf, Brgy. Leon Garcia, Davao City.


The maritime assets will strengthen the security posture in MEGA Davao particularly the coastal areas of Davao City. The showcase started with a simple blessing officiated by CPT RANDY VAL A DIZON (CHS) PA, the Division Chaplain of 10th Infantry Division, graced by BGEN RONNIE S EVANGELISTA AFP, Commander of Joint Task Force HARIBON, together with COL ERWIN BERNARD L NERI INF (GSC) PA, Task Force Davao Commander and concurrent Deputy Commander of JTF HARIBON. It was also attended by different security and safety agencies in the city.


The JTF HARIBON was activated purposely for counter terrorism. It has several sea crafts at its disposal to be used for maritime patrols and other shoreline security operations within Davao City. This would help ensure the security and the safety of the public against terrorism not only by land but also in the sea lanes of MEGA Davao.

“Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in the fight against terrorism and these assets symbolize our great resolve to further enhance our capability,” Col Neri said.

JTF HARIBON is seeking everyone’s support and cooperation in keeping the peace in Davao City. Every individual’s awareness and vigilance against terrorism is important.
