NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – The Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) welcomes its new Deputy Commander (DC), Colonel Gilbert I. Gapay CAV (GSC) PA who assumes his post on December 2, 2016 at Headquarters EMC.
Prior to his post as EMC DC, Col. Gapay was the Assistant Division Commander of Mechanized Infantry Division, Philippine Army based in Capas, Tarlac and Brigade Commander of 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade based in Iligan City.
Col. Gapay is a decorated officer. He topped the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1986. His other schoolings and trainings are Scout Ranger Orientation Course, Basic Aviators Course, Armor Officer Basic Course; Air Traffic Control Officer Course, Comptoller Officer Basic Course; Armor Officer Advace Course, and Command and General Staff Course.
Col. Gapay is also projected to be Commander of Joint Task Force Haribon after BGen. Ronnie S. Evangelista assumed as Commander of Civil Relations Service AFP.
