NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – The newly installed Deputy Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General through a Donning of Rank Ceremony on January 11, 2018, at EMC Headquarters, here at Camp Panacan, Davao City.
BGen. Antonio Verceluz Rosario, Jr., AFP, a member of the Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine Navy is the 11th Deputy Commander of EastMinCom. He was assigned to the Command from his former post at the Philippine Marine Corps, based in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
He was called to active duty on November 28, 1988, when he finished the Bachelor Science in Maritime Transportation in 1986 at the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, Fort Bonifacio.
As a seasoned Marine Officer, the new EMC Deputy Commander also underwent various schoolings such as the Scout Ranger Course at Scout Ranger Training School in Tanay, Rizal, Naval Command and Staff Course at NETC, San Antonio, Zambales, and the AFP Command and General Staff Course at the Command and General Staff College, CGEA, Quezon City.
BGen. Rosario also earned distinct awards and medals in his more than 30 years of military service, such as Distinguished Service Stars, Gold Cross Medals, Bronze Cross Medals, and Military Merit Medals.
Meanwhile, the Donning of Ranks Ceremony was graced by Lt. Gen. Benjamin R. Madrigal, Jr., Commander of EMC who himself donned the Star rank to BGen. Rosario.
