
The armed engagement resulted in the neutralization of an NPA identified as Divina Sindol alias “Din-Din”, 24 years old, resident of Sitio Kisapwak, Brgy. Diningan, Kitaotao, Bukidnon. Recovered from her were one (1) bandolier, two (2) magazines for an M16 rifle, and an NPA uniform.
During the encounter, the CTG laid and detonated a landmine alongside the main road. This indicated their persistent violation of the UN Convention on the Prohibition on the Use of Landmine.
Based on the report of concerned residents, an undetermined number of NPA terrorists were planning to conduct an ambuscade by laying landmines, targeting the Community Development Team (CDT) of 27IB who are working in developing Brgy Mapula, Lumiad, and Paquibato Proper.

LTC VICTORINO M SEÑO INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 27IB strongly condemned the NPA Terrorist's use of landmine, disregarding the safety of the residents of Paquibato District.
He also thanked the residents of Paquibato District for providing timely and reliable information about the terrorists' presence, which serves as a manifestation that the residents are tired and fed up with the NPA terrorists' deception and atrocities.
Saddened by the incident that caused the life @DINDIN, Lt. Col. Seño also appealed to the NPA terrorist to surrender and avail of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) and live a normal life.
“The government is willing to help and assist you to live a peaceful life you are longing for,” he said.
