
MAGPET, Cotabato – Army’s CAFGU Cadre, the Delta “Defender” Company headed by 1LT Jose Bernie Senobin (MI) PA under 72nd Infantry “Gabay” Batallion harvested their first batch of more or less 20 kilos of cultured mushroom known as “Volvariella-Kabuteng Saging” earlier this day, September 9, 2020 at Headquarters 1002nd Brigade, Brgy. Poblacion, Magpet, Cotabato.
The successful conduct of Mushroom Culture and Propagation seminar last June 13, 2020 held at Gabay-Bayawanon Integrated Farm School which was attended by 30 CAFGU Active Auxilliary (CAA) participants under 72IB demonstrated a comprehensive learning on the production of culrltured mushroom as part of the livelihood program for all CAA and our soldiers.

The first batch of harvested cultured mushrooms was augmented for the subsistence of CAA refresher training conducted by the unit. Moreover, the mushroom culture and propagation will now be implemented to all CAA Patrol Bases under 72IB.
