“The Battalion appreciates the bravery of the surrenders for returning to the fold of the law. The surrender of a child warrior clearly shows that CTGs violated the RA 11188 known as 'An Act Providing for the Special Protection of Children in Situations of Armed Conflict' which prohibits the recruitment of children into armed groups. The use of children shows the inhumane and terroristic nature of the CTGs,” Said Lieutenant Colonel Geoffrey M Carandang, Commander of the 39th Infantry (Smash Em) Battalion.
