The discovery of the arms cache has resulted in the recovery of three (3) AK47 Rifles and one (1) M4 Carbine Rifle. These discovered war items were believed to have been buried by the Communist Terrorist NPA after evading from a series of encounters in the previous months against the 3IB troops.
This success was made possible thru a former rebel who recently surrendered and after continuous negotiation and constant motivation made him expose said cache.

LTC TAYAMEN lauded the ROW Troopers for the successful recovery of the said High Powered Firearms which will be processed under the Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) that will incentivize the former rebel for his assistance in the operation.
BGEN NOLASCO A MEMPIN, Brigade Commander of the 1003Infantry Brigade also expressed his sincere gratitude to the ROW Troopers and recognized the contribution of the former rebel, who revealed the location of the hidden arms cache.
According to BGEN MEMPIN, the government is “calling for the remaining NPA rebels who are still undecided to go down and surrender before it is too late. Now is the right time to go back to the folds of the law and live a normal life and avail of the government programs particularly the E-CLIP,.”
