Acting upon the information revealed by the civilians, intel operatives immediately conducted an operation in the area and recovered said IEDs that were owned by Front North, SRC 1, SMRC weighing 1 kilogram each and brought to Headquarters 67IB for proper disposition.
LTC LOUIE G DEMA-ALA, the Battalion Commander of 67th Infantry Battalion, said that “the recovered IEDs are attributed to the unit’s relentless effort in intensifying intelligence operations. The successive discoveries of explosive items is an indication that NPAs firepower and strength is decreasing, this clearly shows that they are still creating a violation of Comprehensive Agreements on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL).
“The 67th Infantry Battalion as your partners of Peace and Development will remain steadfast with the support of the Local Government Unit of the Province of Surigao Del Sur," LTC DEMA-ALA added.
