
This was in connection to the Provincial Advisory from Governor Santiago Cane with regards to the local transmission that has occurred in the municipality of San Francisco.

According to DOH CARAGA that was updated on October 6, 2020, the Province of Agusan del Sur has nine (9) COVID-19 confirmed cases, wherein six (6) of it are from the municipality of San Francisco.
Series of contingency meetings from the LGUs have been conducted together with the health personnel, PNP, and 26IB in order to replan all the necessary counter-action to prevent the spread of the said disease.
In a statement, Lt. Col. Reynald Romel A. Goce, commanding officer of 26IB reassures the commitment of the unit to support and assist the effort of the LGUs especially health workers in the fight against the disease.

"Victory comes when there is unity. As incused to us by Executive Order Nr. 70, we can create not only an armed conflict resilient communities but also a free from COVID-19 affectation," he said.
"The 26IB as directed by our higher headquarters continues to extend its support to local government units and to the Philippine National Police (PNP) to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus in this area of Agusan del Sur," Lt. Col. Goce added.
