
The caravan which was initiated by the provincial government of North Cotabato aims to address the issues and concerns that were brought out during the immersion of the RCSP Team of Arakan. This was in support of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order No 70 or the Whole-of-Nation Approach to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).

Amid the threat of COVID-19, various government services and programs were delivered to the residents of Brgy Lanao Kuran and Brgy Tumanding which highlighted the event that benefited some 1,500 individuals.
Among the free services rendered were medical consultation/check-up; registration and renewal of driver’s license; consultation on livelihood training; registration of birth certificate; distribution of seeds, farm tools, and fertilizers; conduct of information education campaign; and distribution of food packs.
Aside from securing the area, the 16th Infantry (Maglilingkod) Battalion together with the 1002nd (Bagwis) Brigade and the Municipal Health Officer offered free circumcision for male children.

The 16IB also offered free haircut services in partnership with TESDA North Cotabato Provincial Office.
Arakan Mayor Rene V Rubino expressed his gratitude to 16IB and the government line agencies for their unity, relentless support, dedication, and commitment that contributed to the success of the activity.
During the activity, health protocols were strictly implemented such as observing social distancing, wearing of face mask, and using hand sanitizer/alcohol to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
