Newly Installed Top Cop Reaffirms Strengthened Ties with Army Brigade in Caraga



BANCASI, Butuan City – The newly installed top cop of the Police Regional Office Region 13 reaffirmed the strong ties with the 402nd Infantry (Stingers) Brigade during his official courtesy visit to the Brigade Headquarters, Brgy Bancasi, Butuan City, yesterday morning, October 8, 2020.

PRO13 Regional Director, POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO CARAMAT JR together with his Regional Staff had their first official visit at 402nd Brigade Headquarters. They were warmly welcomed in a reception line by the Officers and Enlisted Personnel of Team Stingers headed by BRIGADIER GENERAL MAURITO L LICUDINE.

It can be recalled that last September 17, 2020 in a change of Command Ceremony, PBGEN CARAMAT JR, a member of PMA Class of 1992, assumed the helm of PRO13 and replaced PBGEN JOSELITO ESQUIVEL JR, member of PMA Class of 1988, who officially bowed out from the PNP service.


PBGEN CARAMAT JR was accorded with Foyer Honors for his first official visit that was followed by the signing of guest book and tree planting with his name imprinted on the tree guard as a symbol of the Brigade’s valued and exemplary partnership with the PRO13 for the past years.

The PRO13 top cop conveyed his sincerest gratitude for the honor extended to him underscoring the enduring partnership between the PNP and Philippine Army in the Caraga region. He affirmed the long-standing commitment of the whole PNP force to the Philippine Army as the two (2) organizations pursue its common goal in ending the local communist armed conflict in the Caraga region.


In his statement, BGen Maurito L Licudine, Commander of 402nd Infantry Brigade said, “The Philippine Army and the PNP in Caraga have an outstanding partnership and we understand each other’s role, thus we are able to complement effectively and achieved successful operations maintaining the peace and security in the region.”

“Rest assured that the 402nd Brigade is steadfast in supporting the PNP. We are on the firm belief that we can thrive successfully if we work together. Thus, the visit of PBGen Caramat signifies the reaffirmation of the partnership as we both continuously perform our mandate to serve the people and protect the communities," BGen Licudine added.
